Our Unity Sand Ceremony Keepsake is one of the more creative decorative additions to modern weddings. The wooden shadow box can be filled with sand by each partner, to then display forever. A mantle masterpiece, perhaps? We'll engrave a glass insert with a pretty script initial, along with your names and wedding date in a classic block font. The Unity Sand Ceremony Keepsake Box set comes with two glass vases for the ceremonious pouring. The sand is not included, so go ahead and plan a pre-wedding beach day! The shadow box measures 8" high by 6" wide by 3" deep. The pouring vases measure 7" tall and hold up to 5.5 ounces. Available in your choice of black or white shadow box. Our recommendation: Pre-fill the shadow box about half-way. During the ceremony, pour in sand from the side vases as a ceremonial expression. The vases are not meant to ‘fill’ the box. The box looks best about two-thirds full, using about three pounds of sand total.

Overall this is a nice product. The box is pretty big. I wish the listing said how much sand it will hold so I'll know how much to buy. The personalization is very light. I wish it were a little darker. I'm hoping the sand makes it stand out though. The vases are small. There is no way they would hold enough sand to fill the box. I'm am going to find some larger vases somewhere else and just not use these. They are pretty pointless. I am looking forward to having the box on display for many years to come!
