Yes, the card is small, but, depending on how small your handwriting is, you can fit quite a bit on it. I wrote a very small poem inside, thanking my future mother-in-law for raising such a wonderful man who will be my husband.I also bought her the Mother of the Groom Survival Kit (which she'll love) and the card fits inside it perfectly (minus the envelope).

Please note the demensions of the card as listed. I did not read it, I have to admit which is why I was really disappointed when it arrived. Will still give it as intended, but not enough room to write everything I wanted to say. It is about the size of a regular thank you note.As for the product, it is very pretty and delicate. Just wish it was a full size card.
