We intend to use this as a unity candle and I was really excited to get it. The problem? The engraving is smaller and much lighter than depicted. It's pretty hard to see and I don't think anyone will know the engraving is there except us. The other problem is that they didn't send the floating candle that was supposed to come with it.

My fiance and I didn't even think of using a unity candle until we had our first meeting with our pastor. I have never understood what your supposed to do with a unity candle after the wedding, if you put it in storage it can melt but its too big to put on display. I got the floating candle and vase and and I love it, the lettering is perfect its a little taller than I thought which is ok, and I like that I can use it after the wedding as a vase. I plan on filling it with colorful flowers and then with water to add a bit more color.

My fiance and I knew we wanted to do a unity candle, but weren't sold on an actual candle. We saw this and loved it! Now we will be able to use it even after the ceremony without having to worry about it melting! The engraving is a simple and elegant personalized touch that we are fond of! I received mine just the other day in the mail. It looks great! The only thing is that the writing doesn't stick out as much as I thought it would. But then when you fill it up with water it looks awesome! The quality of the vase is great and I like the idea I can use it after our ceremony!

When I opened the package, I immediately noticed the "glass" seemed more like plastic than true glass. The number 2 in the year of my wedding date was very faded compared to the rest of the lettering, and I was expecting the lettering to be bigger, like in the picture shown. The ampersand also doesn't look anything like it's supposed to... it's more like some warped letter V. The design idea is quite nice, but I just don't think it was truly worth its cost; it seemed too cheap.

I read the reviews for this product and decided that it would be worth owning. I just received the candle in the mail yesterday and it was more beautiful that I thought. The vase is much bigger than it looks in the picture. My fiancé has chosen not to be too involved in the wedding decorations. When he saw the candle, he was excited. So, if it can make my groom happy, then it will be a total showstopper!!

I just got ours today, and I love it! [...]. We didn't want to have a partially burned specialty candle that would sit in a box somewhere after the wedding, so this was perfect for us. I love flowers, so we will definitely use it again as a vase. I just used the regular Times New Roman font, and it looks very elegant. I absolutely recommend this product!

I love it! I primarily chose this over a traditional unity candle because I knew I could use this for something different, such as a vase for flowers. I really did not want to buy a [$] candle that would only burn for 5 minutes, just to store it away and get dusty! Very good quality and the engraving is gorgeous.

I just received this great unity candle/vase. It looks just as I expected, and is perfect for our wedding! As a little note, the "&" symbol doesn't look exactly as an ampersand should, but it isn't a problem for us.

I got this for my wedding on September 5th, 2009. I ordered it in July and received it sooner that I would have thought. I opened it and I was amazed! I absolutely loved it! Everyone that saw it before the wedding was even wowed. I received more compliments of it on my wedding day. However, somehow from the course of finishing the ceremony and heading to the reception, it was misplaced. Everyone pointed fingers at everyone and I finally got to the point I was just like whatever I will just order another. I would prefer to have the one I orginally purchased for my ceremony and lit and all but in the end I just rather have one that not one at all. I would definitely recommend it. I mean it is great for flowers and all and other things and for anniversary dinners. Definitely worth the money. SOOOO Much bigger that I expected also!

While looking at the candles, I saw this and thought it was great (especially after reading the other comments). My groom also thought it looked unique. When it arrived we were excited to see how great it looked. The glass vase was taller than I expected but it looks great!!! We plan to find a place for it in our home when the wedding is over.

I purchased this unity candle about a month ago. I was excited because this candle is different and can also be used as a vase after the wedding. However, when I received the candle, I was very disappointed. I'm not one to normally complain, but the glass was badly warped in shape right above our names along with several chips and scratches in it. Another thing I wasn't fond of was the packaging. The "foam" barrier was covered in dirt and didn't fit properly where I thought it could have very easily been broken en route. Again, I love the uniqueness of this product, but I don't think it's been perfected quite yet.

We are using these as memory candles, I bought 3, for our grandparents during our moment of silence at our wedding. They are simply beautiful! I love them!!!!

We used this at our wedding and ended up using it as an additional decoration on our cake table. The overall effect was very elegant. My husband even liked it when he saw it. We were married out of town and were very sorry that the vase didn't survive the trip back to our home, however we liked it so much that we plan to order another one to replace it!
