Comments about The Knot Wedding Shop mr. & mrs. wooden cake topper:

We are having a small (100-150 guests) wedding in my suburban/rural hometown. I didn't even want a cake topper until I saw this one. It's wedding-y without the glam and bling and fuss. I wasn't positive from the description, but this does NOT come with the nature decor- it's just the wooden sign and 'stand'.
As for the stand, the legs are pretty long, good for anchoring into the cake, but the black ink rubbed off a bit on my fingers just handling it, so I might give the legs a gentle wash before we shove them in our food.
The top part (the actual sign) fits into the legs pretty snugly, which I'm happy about. Now I'm not worried about possibly needing to glue it and thus render it much more difficult to store as a memento.
The only downside is the price. Had this been hand-carved from something that felt less like a slightly thicker tongue-depressor, the $32 might have been worth it. It's sturdy enough that I don't feel ripped off, but like most things on theknot or any other retailer that harbors the word 'wedding', it is definitely NOT a great value.
