We bought these for the groomsmen as gifts and to also "wear" the day of the wedding. I was hesitant reading some of the reviews but am so happy with them that I will be ordering another one for the groom! We purchased 7 of them and they all work and the engraving is great. Same exact watch as what is sold on another *personal ingraving gift store* site for half the price! Can't wait to see the guys with these on the big day!

My wife got this for our son. A Christmas gift that right out of the box did not work. You get what you pay for and we should have let price be our guide.

Out of the box itlooked great. I went to set the time and the wind/set knob broke off. now just a nice looking paper weight.

For the gal who said the Roman Numeral 4 was wrong--YOU ARE WRONG! The IIII is a very very traditional and old school way of writing 4 in Roman Numerals. While you usually see IV, this is also another way of writing 4. For the groom who can't figure out how to set the time--shake it! That's how it gets going. My fiance seems to have an issue with the fact that they are a little stiff to get working, but I think it's because they are new and need warming up. We bought 19 of these for our groomsmen and ushers and they are SO SHARP! Looooove the engraving. I think they will all appreciate this classic gift.

This looked really cool, but when I realized that Roman Numeral Four is IIII when it should be IV I decided not to buy it. It would have been so embarrassing if I did. The Knot please change this!

I bought 3 of these for my groomsmen in April last year. When the order came in I opened 1 to make sure everything was OK and loved that watch at first. I just opened the rest of them to wrap and the other 2 look TERRIBLE. The plating is coming off and bubbling on 1 and the other 1 has blemishes all over it like it was never finished plating. I guess I should have looked at them all before I put them away for safe keeping. Now I'm a few weeks to the big day and have to come up with something else for the guys :-(

It is lovley, and looks amazing & I gave it as a wedding gift to my husband. He adores it and used it every day as his watch. Alas, less than a month after the wedding, the gears have jamed up somehow and it has stopped working. He is heartbroken, and I'm bummed that my wedding gift is now just a useless item. Very upset that it didn't last more than 3 weeks & the second one I bought as a back up (the gun metal one) was broken when it arrived super bummed.

I just got this watchtoday for my groom-it is beautiful-really nice and expensive looking! he is going to love it-i hope! I got it engraved-it turned out nicely-the engraving is a little smaller than I had expected, I had only an "R"-so it would be fine for more letters, but it looks nice.

Bought these watches as a gift for the groomsmen & also bought one for the groom as a gift. They are very well made watch, however the chain is cheap & a couple of them were rusted when I received them. My husband loved it b/c of all the inner workings & the craftsmenship. The guys wore them with their tuxs & they looked great. I would definately recommend for wedding party & as a gift for a man who appreciates watches!

My fiance and I got these pocket watches as a gift for our fathers. We were very impressed with them when they came. They are very well made and will be a very nice surprise for our dads. I especially love the face of the watch because you can see the little gears.

Got this as a gift for my fiance for Christmas, I let him see it before I was going to personalize it at TR ... it will give it a great touch ... the gears really work... and best of all he is going to love it with the personalization... Btw the gears can be seen in the back too.

Got for groomsmen and fathers. Everyone loved the design and had fun with the watches but just know that there is no battery (it is see through). All the boys loved watching the inner workings of the watches. Apparently takes a little time to figure out how to set the time but if you want to use the watch all the time you must remember to wind it often.

This pocket watch has a very appealing look to it. Love how shiny the watch is, and I think it is a good design with being able to see all of the components inside the watch. Watch has a sophisticated look to it, and if cared for properly could last for a very long time.

I got this as a wedding present for my fiance. However, I did not get it engraved at the time of purchase due to the character limit. I plan to take it to the mall to have it engraved right before the wedding. The only thing I don't like is that on one of the gears you can clearly see that it says "made in China" which just sort of looks tacky IMO. Also, I was promised a gift box and my invoice said "with box" but there was no box to be found. Oh well, I was planning on using a differnt box anyway.

An attractive watch design. Since it winds up, you never have to worry about not having batteries. The face can be difficult to read since the hands and numbers are the same silvery metal at the gears. Notice though, that the number 4 is not written as IIII rather than IV. While inaccurate, it does keep good time and it's very interesting to be able to see the gears in action while it runs.

I bought this as a little gift for my fiance and had it personalized. I really like the watch, but wasn't too thrilled with the engraving; it's just not that nice. If I could do it again, I would have not had it personalized here and would have taken it to the mall to have the engraving done.

This was such a great gift. I had been going back and forth between whether i wanted to order this or not because i wasn't sure if it would be as nice as the picture showed. I honestly think it's even better! I had them personalized and they will make great gifts for our ushers! I wish i would have picked these for groomsmen gifts also!

I bought 6 and a got them personalized. They look great and give accurate time. I recommend this product to anyone.

These are really nice! The back has a little window about the size of a quarter that looks into the gears. [...] Its pretty cool and you can see all the gears turning. They are a lot of fun and the winding and ticking are pretty cool for a guy who has never really owned a mechanical watch.

These little guys appear way too nice for the money; the watch gears are amazing, and yes it really winds up. The outer metal finishing is nice, with a cool pattern on the inside for a nice touch. Heavy and nicely constructed. THe engraving is a little on the light side (hard to read in dark light) but then, really thick engravings might be a little gawdy anyway. Get some, I'm getting a few more for all the men in the wedding.
