I bought one of these when they went on sale to see if I liked them after reading the mixed reviews. And I decided that I do. (Hehe, I do.)
My plan is to use them as the place cards and replace what's in there with guest names and table assignments. I'll pick them up when they go on sale again.
It winds up being another thing someone can take home that they actually may use by their desk in their office or at work!
These are a GREAT buy,[...] I bought 300 sets for wedding favors, and I think people are going to love them! It will be great to give out a functional wedding favor that people can put to good use. And for this price, I couldn't pass it up! I'm so happy with them!
After reading reviews from others, I decided to purchase these. At [$] for a set of two, you can't go wrong. They are a slight green color, but that is perfect for my color scheme. The window is smaller than I had anticipated, but it will still work for my intended purpose of putting guest's names and their seats in the window. Also, as was said in previous reviews, some of the pockets for the pictures are slightly askew. For the price, they are quite elegant and unique!
I love these coasters! I wanted something different as favors for our guests; something they'd be able to use & not store in a drawer & end up throwing out. The quality is perfect & they come nicely packaged with a little Thank You card attached. Definitely wait until they go on sale & watch for [...]Can't wait to use them...7/30/10!!!
Very nice, and i got them on sale , AMAZING DEAL, they look beautiful , i plan on slipping in pictures of whatever fits the living room decor in them. very excited to use them.

I didnt think the coasters looked green! My colors are blue and white so I was worried too but you honestly cannot tell. They come with a thank you note in the middle already so I'm deciding whether its worth the effort to print out a pic. Great value - knotshop lost my shipment at first but the follow up I received within 3 days so very prompt.
I waited until they went on sale 99 cents each. [...] they are a nice coaster. they are alittle tinted green which fits our colors. I took them out of the box, and placed a love quote with our names and date in the top coaster, back in the box and tied the bow a different way. they come with little thank you tags, so I tied them to the ribbon. They look great, great buy! So satisfied!

I just received the box yesterday afternoon and I can not wait to use personalize it and have them as wedding favors this August. I think everyone will be very impressed.
I loved using these as favors for our wedding and we received many compliments on them. They are more usable than other favors that I have looked at. They do have a green tint that worked well for our wedding and we personalized it to match our theme.

After I had read the reviews, I was a little weary about them being green. When they went on sale I honestly just couldn't pass them up. These are amazing gift favors for your guests. I am planning on keeping them in pairs, replacing the ribbon they came with using something that coordinates with my colors. You will love these!!!!!

I ordered these for my bridesmaids as an extra present along with a tote I already purchased for them. Even though they say wedding favors, I thought it would be a great idea for bridesmaids. I checked out photo coaster sets at the store and they were about 10 for 4. Instead I ordered 18 of these, for my 9 bridesmaids and even though they are packaged with a ribbon already, I will replace the sets of two into sets of 4 and re tie with a ribbon of their dress color. I thought it was perfect. They look great, just need to be cleaned up a little.
The boxes they come in are a little scratched up, but I'm not using those anyways!

I just ordered them and I love them. The only thing I didn't like was that the place you put pictures was smaller than it appeared on the picture. I also think the price on this website is better than any other site I looked at the same product on.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but I went ahead and ordered them anyway because I was looking for something kind of unique that people would actually take with them. I am glad that I ordered them! They will be perfect. All of the reviews said that they are green, but it's not that bad. They are baisically just glass that is painted with a silverish color on the back. Since glass has a greenish tint, they look a little green. I'm going to wrap them anyway so it doesn't make a difference to me. They could be a little better quality (the photo pockets on he back are't put on perfect), but you can't beat the price. The shipping was kind of expensive because they weigh so much, but I waited until they went on sale and I used a coupon code. All in all I am very happy with them and can't wait to use them at my wedding!

I just love these, I was able to purchase them when they were 50% off so when I purchased over 100 it was a fantastic buy! I ordered personalized business cards off the internet for the custom look and then used craft gel glue to secure them. I cant wait to use them. Only draw back is the shipping is expensive because they weigh so much.

They are slightly green, but made of heavy material that doesn't feel cheap. I'm breaking apart the set and using the coasters both as seating cards and favors.

We purchased these coasters for our place card holders and to go with the photo booth we were having.They are a light green, but very light. I tried frosting them again to take away the green but it did not work.We put rubber bands on them first to keep them securely together and then we glued pink and brown ribbon onto the rubber bands.
However you use them take them out of the plastic case and clean them first. They are fingerprinted and just need shined up.

I used these as the name cards for my guests. They come with a ribbon around them and "thank you" tags for every coaster. They were a big hit. Everyone loved them and not a single coaster was left behind by anyone. They are priced very well and they don't fall apart in your hand like other favors that I've seen in the past. They really are green though so make sure that is what you want before you order them. I had green in my wedding so they were a nice touch. You and your guests will enjoy these very much!

I bought these for my wedding that's coming up in about 2 months. I chose them because I wanted to give out something that can be used again. As others have said, they come in a set of 2 in a plastic "box" with a ribbon tied around it. They are a light green, but that goes with my color scheme, so for me it was a plus.
We plan to replace the insert paper included with a thank you message along with our names and wedding date and give 1 set per family.

I love these photo coasters! We ordered them when we first started planning because we both LOVED them. I waited until they went on sale of course :)
We bought enough for everyone on our original rough guestlist and thought we would have way too many since not everyone came to the wedding but our guests loved them so much that they took a couple of them and there were none left! But I would recommend ordering a little later in the process so you get just enought to have a few extra. We had one set per setting but if you are really on a budget, you could maybe do one per couple/family since there are 2 in each package.
As others have mentioned, they are not frosted. The paint behind the glass brings out the natural color of the glass. It didn't bother me but it would be even better if they were actually frosted clear glass instead.
We added a picture (it was actually a vertical business card picture from Vistaprint...perfect size after you cut the top inch or so off!). You can use "as is" in the pretty box with ribbon but be advised that the thank you tags are INSIDE the box, so you have to undo it to get those out anyway. A little putsy but worth it in the end! :)

I chose not to place our picture in the center. Instead, I took navy craft paper(our colors) and stamped on a silver oldfashioned car. It looks really cute. I tied satin navy ribbon around them individually and it really works. I am not going to lie, the glass is an off greenish color. But for me it looks great. Good luck to all.

We used these as our wedding favors and they were great! As some other comments say, it does have a bit of a green tint to it but our wedding was green. Also, the picture slot isn't as big as it looks and it doesn't say that it comes as a set of two in a plastic case with a ribbon around it. This was perfect, we had engagement pictures printed on business card size and had our wedding website and a thank you printed on the back. We just tucked these pictures underneath the ribbon, then the whole thing was tucked into the napkin at each spot. It was great and I got a lot of compliments!

I was a little nervous to order such a large quantity for our wedding give aways, since so many people commented that they were green. They are a tiny bit greenish, but very negligible. I love the way they look and they do come nicely packaged.
Of the 200 sets that we purchased only about 10 coasters were too defective to correct (5% isn't bad at all). The defects that I refer to are the backing may not sit perfectly straight or the rubber feet of the coaster was missing...nothing all too earth shattering.
Our coasters served two purposes: 1. they were the give away and 2. we used them as the person's table place card. Overall, I'm very glad that we purchased the coaster...they are a bit more unique and look very elegant. =)

I was a little iffy about ordering this product when I read all of the comments about it being green and not white as it appears to be online. However when I would look for favors I would keep going back to this product. Well I ordered a sample to see just how green it was. It looks almost like a thick kind of glass green but lighter. I really do like the product and it does not clash with my colors of chocolate brown and baby blue because it is so light. I will say that the back that holds the picture in was crooked but it has a sticky on it so you can pull it up and reapply it so that it is straight. I plan on ordering more and putting pictures of my fiancé and me in them for our families and friends to enjoy.

For 99 cents, this is a deal! They are very heavy and well made. The picture or greating will be small, but it is a great memory for all of the guests. The "frosted" look is a hint of green, but they are very elegant looking!

Let’s face it - for the price of the costars, you are not going to find a better deal! Yes they do have a light green tint to them, but I think for the gift itself and the price, WOW - it will do! My colors are red, white, and blue and even with the picture that I put in them it turned out wonderfully!

I put one coaster at each place setting under the champagne glass with a photo of the person at the seat in it. Not only did they look great but they were a fun surprise after the toast. People LOVED them and at dinner passed then around the table to see what funny, old, cute photos we added in them. Very nice personal touch and made everyone feel a little special.

I looked over all the reviews before I purchased these coasters, and alot of the reviews noted the green tint to the glass. My bridesmaid dresses are a light green, so I thought that would be great. I just got my order in today and I love them. They did come with 2 Thank You cards that can be added to the coasters. I had ordered some thank you cards to add, if I would have known some already came with the coasters, I would not have had to order some on the side. I am pleased with the coasters.

I loved the way these looked online, but was very disappointed when I saw it. I'd ordered just one set of these coasters to see as a sample before ordering a large quantity. There were chips in the background, which is green, not frosted as stated. The pocket on the back to hold a picture was mounted crooked. Great idea, good price, but poor quality.

Some words of advice and wisdom from a bride that just got done constructing 500 of these coasters for wedding favors. It's a lengthy review, so if you want to cut to the chase, just read the last paragraph.
Other reviewers are correct about the coloring of the coasters. They have a light mint green paint of some sort that forms the frame. This was fine by me, but it may bother some of you.
The description of the size of the coaster was misleading--there is a 2"H x 1.5"W window area that displays your picture (not 2"x1.75"). Not a problem, it's just a word of caution to make sure you get the right size of pictures to fit! Make sure there is a little extra room on your picture around what you want to show up in the frame so you can move it and place it just right.
Some of the coasters we received were defective (paint had chipped off, etc.). It's a good thing I got a few extra, just in case.
Many of the coasters I received had greasy fingerprints on them (I think maybe whoever was constructing them was eating at the time???) A little strange, but it was nothing that a little Windex couldn't handle.
Also, the sleeve on the back designed to hold the pictures in place was a little large (which is a good thing so pictures don't have to be smushed into them and there was room to move and align my picture), but many of mine were lopsided. This was easily remedied by placing a small sticker across the back to hold a picture in the right alignment (there is a hole in the sleeve that allows you to move the picture around with your finger... adjoin the sleeve to the back of the picture through that hole with a sticker and it's problem solved).
Overall, I'm very happy with this product. There were a few shortcomings in the workmanship, but they can pretty well be handled with a little extra elbow grease. My favors turned out very cute and personalized. I'm sure they'll be a hit!

I absolutely loved the coasters! Although they were a bit smaller then I had thought, I still think they were so cute! The color of the coasters fit my scheme perfectly, and for the price I got them for I couldnt have asked for a better favor.
I plan on putting a picture of myself and my fiance in one, and then putting a poem with the table number on the other. I will also be changing the ribbon to fit my color scheme.

I must say that they are a lot smaller than I expected but, none the less, they will get the job done. I am having a tiffany themed wedding and the color is rather close to the tiffany blue/aqua color that I am using. I am using these coasters as seating card holders/favors for guests. They were perfect for the price.

I read a review where the gal said that it isn't actually frosted glass, but so many others liked them that I bought a few sets anyway. It is NOT frosted glass. It's a thin green-hued paper applied to the back of the glass. It doesn't look frosted; it looks green! Green isn't one of my colors, & if they weren't so doggone cheap, I'd return them. But if you like green, they're great otherwise.

I absolutely love these wedding favors!!! I have been looking for something that has been in my price range. We have a very large family of about 600 people combined coming to our June 2008 wedding in Cincinnati. I am very pleased with the result of this product. I am either putting our name's and date of the wedding in the insert or a picture, haven't decided yet. Thank you so much for having the quantity that we needed.

I'am having a very big wedding (350 people) and i was looking for a wedding favor that i could buy alot of without spending a some fortune.These are perfect, there just the right size and they come all done, tag,box,bow and message.I plan on changing the bow to match my wedding colors thats about it. These i would totally recommend to any bride, there such a great bargin and a perfect wedding favor!!!

I had debated back and forth about even having favors for my guests, but when I saw these online, I thought they were such a great value I couldn't pass them up. [...] Before you buy these favors, here's what else you should consider...1) [...] The coasters are 3.5" sq., but what they don't tell you on the site is that they are only 3/16th" thick, 3) Although they look like frosted white glass in the photo, they do have a very light green tint to the glass, 4) These are not the same quality you would expect to receive as a very personal gift, but they are a very decent quality and value for the expense. Despite the fact these coaster where different than expected, I still think they're an excellent value. They also offer a lot of versatility. I'm thinking of substituting each guest's name and table assignment for the picture, so they will double as "table cards". Or, I might just put my and my groom's name with our wedding date on the insert. Either way, I would still recommend these coasters as long as you keep these expectations in mind. Regardless, I feel good knowing that the majority of the expense of the favor is actually in the gift itself and not in the packaging of the gift.
very nice and perfect for what i was looking for. Budgeting is hard but I couldnt pass up the bargin and my wedding is not until may 2008. It's something my guest can use and hopefully not through away, that was my main concern to have a keepsake people can actually keep and not eat. =)
I really like the idea of giving my guests coasters but... I want to worn all of the brides out there that the background of these coasters looks green not white or frosted glass.

When I first saw these coasters, I thought they were very cute. My wedding isn't until next year but I went on line and I got them for [$] each which was an excellent buy. I plan on using a picture of my fiance and myself and give them away as favors. I also separated them and plan on giving out 1 per family. I also plan on wrapping in toule and decorate with a rose and a ribbon. I did a sample one and it looks very nice. I got rave reviews from family members on my idea. Hopefully someone else can use the same idea.

Great for a gift to the wedding party. I am able to take a personal photo of a special event during the time of our friendship/family life in one, and then provide a photo from the wedding in the other. These are inexpensive enough where I can combine with a gift card to a fav restaurant or vendor - makes for a great/unique gift.
This was a wonderful favor at my wedding. I removed the insert and replaced it with sage green paper (same paper used for my wedding invitations and programs). On that paper I put my name and my husbands, and the date of our wedding; July 14th. People loved them and wanted more.

It's pretty good quality for the price. It was a little smaller than what the dimension had suggested. It's still a great deal and something the guests can still use long after the wedding.
I think these make very classy favors. We are having a destination wedding and these will be gifts for our guests attending our hometown reception!

It was smaller then I was expecting! It's much nicer then mints in a plastic wine glass wrapped with toule! I'm going to be personalizing mine with every quests name & placing then in the center of each plate at my wedding! I think it is a great keepsake & my guests will be able to continue to use them after our wedding day!
