There are two ways you can organize your seating chart. You generally do not want to skimp on the seating chart altogether, as this can lead to confusion and awkwardness when guests go to be seated. A seating chart is a way to ensure that each table’s guests all enjoy themselves and each other’s company. The traditional method is to place a seating card with the guest’s name in front of their seat. A newer and more popular method is to give each table a number and assign guests to their table number. In this case, you would line up your place card holders alphabetically by last name, and each card would contain the guest’s name and their table number.
