While these fans are very cute, and will ultimately get the job done, they do NOT look like the picture. The detailing is only along the outer edge of the fan. I got the stick on labels and I'm happy with their quality. I plan on tying the fans with a ribbon and having them in a basket at the church where we are getting married. (We live in south Texas and it feels like the fires of Hell in May) Like I said, still cute, and will serve their purpose, just don't be fooled by the picture!

I purchased these during a big sale, and what I received was not the fan that is in the picture. The fans that I received were thin wood fans with thin white fabric between the slats. I tried to call customer service with three minutes until closing right after I opened the package and no one answered. Hoping to get these exchanged. If you order these, open them as soon as they arrive, do NOT assume they are the correct product!

These are not made of sandalwood. They are bamboo. They do not have the pierced detail showing in the picture. The fans are pierced only along the top edge. Further, they do not have a thread or ribbon running through the louvres of the fan, so they can split apart. I ordered them because I know the lovely fragrance of sandalwood from a fan I received from my mother. These have no fragrance. They may make an inexpensive alternative to paper fans. Just know what you're getting.

I just got my fans. I am happy with them. The wood doesn't seem to be splintering and they look even nicer in person. However, the white boxes that they each came in are a bit bent and messed up. This is annoying because I was hoping to hand them out to guests in the original box, which would save me money on finding pretty packaging. I am now going to have to carefully unbend these boxes as well as possible and/or find some other way to present these to guests. If you're getting these (and I still recommend that you do because they are a beautiful and unique gift that is actually practical) jut don't depend on using the individual boxes that they came in. You might be disappointed.

I purchased these fans for my daughter's July wedding. The church and the reception site were not air conditioned, so I felt they were more of a necessity. I put a fan, a tube of bubbles and 2 tissues with their monogram on them in a white chiffon drawstring bag and left them on the pews so guests would have them when they sat down. They looked great and when we went to collect whatever might be left after the ceremony, everyone had taken them. I think not only were the bags practical but they were a lovely addition. For our wedding favors we made a donation to "The Wounded Warriors Project" and left cards at everyone's place settings. I think the two of these together, made great favors that our guests truly appreciated.

These fans are really delicate and pretty. However they're a lot flimsier than I thought they would be. The wood is almost cardstock weight which makes it very flexible and bendable. I guess they do their job, push the air around for when it's hot. I doubt my guests will complain when it's 95 degrees in my outdoor caribbean wedding :D.

They will look pretty with a bow and tag !

Buy them when they're on sale!! Don't pay full price

One of the best favors I have purchased. The scent of the Sandlewood is not over bearing. It is delicate and simple, which is a plus for me. I wasn't expecting such great detail, so I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased these when they were on sale and what a great buy it was. :)

These fans are just beautiful! If you want to add your wedding colors, just pick some ribbon in the color of your choice and tie it around the fan! That's what I did to add my color!

We gave these to the guests at our beach wedding and everyone loved them! I tied ribbons in my colors and a small ring to the bottom of each fan and they looked so cute! Great value for the money spent!

I purchased these for our guests to use during our beach ceremony. All though the wood is very thin, they are much nicer than what I expected. The detail on them is very pretty and for the price, I think I got a great deal!

I got these on sale and I am pleased with them. For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting much, so I was surprised! These fans are delicate and beautiful, and the detail work is really pretty.
The wood does not appear to be high quality, which is one of the only negatives to this fan. It looks like very soft wood, so you want to be sure to be careful with the fans. Also, the sandalwood smell is not very strong, so don't buy it hoping for that!
I'm really very happy with these fans. They will be the perfect thing to keep my guests cool on our wedding day and at our outdoor reception!

The fans were a good buy since i got them on sale and well I guess the guests will appreciate been able to cool off at the wedding, but of the ones I received, the wood was of many different shades and most important the design was different! I got two diff designs for the carvings, I guess I'll simply put one on the grooms side and one on my own but I wouldve liked knowing they were diff before ordering them, maybe they didn't have a full stock or just changed suppliers?

Not as high of quality a fan as they appear on the website, but good enough to serve their purpose. For the highest quality of sandalwood fans, the price range is [$]per fan, so the price is right! I'm having an outdoor ceremony April 2010 (Southern Oklahoma), so they will be greatly appreciated.

The fans are nice, simple, and have a beautiful cut-out design. However, they don't smell like sandalwood or anything for that matter! I was a bit disappointed about that since the scent was one of my main reasons for getting these fans. Don't expect the fans to come in pretty boxes (they will arrive in simple white cardboard boxes that you will quickly throw away.)

If you are crafty, I suggest buying crystal beads and making a nice beaded arm strap to attach to the fan. This will glamour it up perfectly and would make a fun accessory for your bridesmaids.

These fans are great! The detail on them in amazing- I would recommend this particular fan over the similar personalized sandalwood fan. The quality of this is much better than the personalized one. I was so excited to find this fan for a wedding favor. I am having a summer wedding with an expected temperature of 88 degrees. I feel these fans are appropriate to give out to guests to keep them comfortable during the ceremony. I read many reviews stating that this fan is flimsy; however, I have not found that to be true. I have tested the fan myself and feel that it is very sturdy (unless you are Attila the Hun). The beautiful detail is both elegant and well carried out. It has turned out to be better than expected [...] I can hardly wait to pass this out with a chilled bottle of water to my guests as they arrive; I know the will love and appreciate this special keepsake.

I love these--I got them while they were on sale and what a great buy! I am getting married in August in the North Georgia Mountains--it is an outdoor wedding. I think these are going to be a perfect solution! A lot of people have stated how flimsy they are--they definitely have a delicate feel to them but aren't flimsy at all. I have been carrying one around in my bag and showing it off to the florist, photographer, anyone I have a meeting with. It has been handled quite a bit and is still intact. I would definitely recommend them for a classy way to cool your guests off (and a great keepsake to boot!).

I recieved my order of these fans about a week ago. I couldn't be more happy with them. Yes, they are a little flimsy but still get the job done. I was showing them off to my maid of honor and my mother as soon as a could. They all agreed that they were very beautiful and very detailed. I had no idea how much detail there was.
